“My family and I spent a few days at the Hallmark Inn in August 2013. We were impressed by the thoughtful, bilingual staff, the super comfortable beds, the fun swimming pool and beautiful outdoor patio. Happy hour was indeed happy and we all enjoyed the close proximity to downtown Davis. We borrowed the bikes on one day and rode around the nearby arboretum. Breakfast was convenient and all in all, I don't think you can find a better place to stay in Davis.“
“Our daughter has just started an Internship at Davis University and we stayed at Hallmark Inn in Davis. Our stay was for 5 nights and it was most enjoyable. The location is right down town so you can walk to many of the outdoor coffee shops and restaurants. Also the Market that is held twice a week is just a few blocks away. The inn was very nice with a pool and included breakfast and complimentary evening drinks at the bar. The staff was always very helpful, and we will be staying there again when ever we go to visit our daughter. What more could you ask for?“
“I had to travel to Davis as my Portuguese Water Dog required surgery at the UC Davis Vet Center. From the moment we arrived, everyone at the hotel was wonderful to us and to our dog. A gift basket from the hotel management awaited her arrival and they went out of their way to accomodate us. I was under a great deal of stress as this was a high risk surgery (hence the trip from Burbank to Davis), but Marissa and her staff did everything to make it as comfortable as possible for me while my dog was in the vet hospital. She had an employee move me to a non dog friendly room when Duffy was admitted to Davis; everyone of her staff signed a card for Duffy, and more gifts for my dog and a bottle of wine for me were extra special treats.
The rooms were very clean, and this is a critique coming from a very germ phobic person. The bedding was exceptionally clean and comfortable, and they actually use fitted sheets which is a nice change from the usual flat sheet that pulls out from the mattress“
“This hotel really impressed me. We were a couple of stressed-out ladies in town for a bike ride (Foxy's fall century) and they made everything easy! complimentary happy hour with local wines (Route 3 savignon blanc), substantial breakfast (I had eggs with cheese/peppers, toast), good directions, ez walk to arboretium, restaurants. staff was very engaged and we learned many had worked there a very long time (I like that!). guests seemed to pick up on the happy vibe and chatted easily together at breakfast. right across the street from Amtrak, so I might just go ditch my car for my next visit here. complimentary bikes are in front for crusing around this very bike-friendly city.“
“First timer in Davis, I can't wait to go back! Booked the hotel based on the reviews and they did NOT disappoint! Hallmark Inn was very clean and exactly what I was looking for. The person at the front desk (Richard?) was extremely helpful and suggested several places to visit during my business trip. Lets just say I came here for business but left with pleasure...Nuff' said!“
“We chose the Hallmark because of it's excellent rating. It is very conveniently located in downtown Davis. The complimentary breakfast in the café is very nice as is the evening reception in the bar. There are a number of very good restaurants in the immediate vicinity. We did not borrow the bikes but they looked well maintained.“
“Have stayed at Hallmark several times over the past year and 1/2. Rooms are a very nice size, very nice and classy little hotel. Right next door is the new "Cream" ice cream sandwich place which is out of this world and cheap!! Don't stay anywhere else in Davis, this is the place to stay with no hesitation.“
